Cubritilae (Cubrit) Master post
Hello!
My name is Axe (Axel0tl) or Morgan if you'd like.This will be a little website set up as a way to drop some info and lore regarding Cubrits as a species. In a nutshell they are xeno / alien critters. They are an open species so anyone is free to make one! Though I would love to see them if anyone does <3Without further stalling. Here comes lore dump as I attempt to make this brain child of mine coherent.
Basic Physiology
The species is called Cubritilae (more commonly referred to as Cubrits), they are copper based life forms.
Extended exposure of higher levels of oxygen being breathed in and diluted into blood can lead to numerous issues with varying severity depending on the severity and length of exposure.
Such issues may include: migraines, nosebleeds, lung infections, lethargy, muscle deterioration, seizures, neurological disorders, stunted growth etc.
They can breathe regular (for most life forms) atmosphere for periods of time but usually need aid of an oxygen filter mask or specialized inhalers to assist. Some things are considered toxic to the species as well, being mainly chlorides, potassium and oxygen. (Do not feed your Cubrit a banana unless you are prepared to deal with 40-60 hours of crying as they blow chunks from both ends)
They are mostly bipedal but may chose to walk on all fours. Running is usually more comfortable as a quadruped.
They're usually around 4-5 feet tall with the tall end of the spectrum being a minority. So mostly smaller than humans.While their natural coats tend to be on the earthy side this is not a hard rule. Go wild. It's not uncommon for Cubrits to dye their fur fun colors or ink their skin.
Some natural patterns include but are not limited to:
-stripes
-spots
-fades of color
-patches
-swirls
Again this is not a hard rule you can go wild and make a sparkle Cubrit if that is what your heart desires!
Expanded biology
The species is monosexual, one gender and that gender is Slinky. One can both carry or sire a child, whichever one they choose.
They hatch from eggs with litter sizes varying between 2-6. They are considered fully mature by the age of 14 years old and usually split off from their caretaker at this time to be fully independent. Their average lifespan is about 80 years.
They don't really tend to form strong family structures but it does happen sometimes. Most just don't feel the need to as their home planet doesnt have a fucked up economy and a singular Cubrit can be independent and fully sustained on its own.
The gravity on the home planet is much stronger than that one earth so Cubrits may be small but they are surprsisingly dense and heavy.
A cubrit's horn is it's pride. Broken or damaged horns may be scrutinised. Although depending on one's occupation they may be a status of strength as well. I never said that Cubrit society is fair or in any way not corrupt. Frankly it's a cess pool but you didn't hear that from me.
Being a copper based life form comes with some perks. Mainly conductivity.
Cubrits are naturally resistant to electricity as it can flow freely though their bodies without damaging the tissue. What most would find painful is merely a tingle for them, what would cause significant damage may be uncomfortable however. They naturally build up static picked up from the air and may use it as a spark or to harmlessly zap unsuspecting crewmates whether intentionally or not.
With a higher toll on their body they can absorb a significant charge that would otherwise be harmful. They may choose to let it disperse removing any harm it might have caused otherwise, or store it within their body. A stored charge fizzles out and weakens with time usually fully gone within an hour or two. It is not advised to touch a charged Cubrit without proper insulation. A stored charge can be redirected. A way to jump start electronics (or fry them completely), an UNO reverse at a guard that tried to cattle prod a cubrit etc.

There is barely any really. The species is open so there is no need to ask for permission to make one!
Obviously try to not make anything offensive and please keep the credit signature.
As for the art itself just do not give them boobas and you're good!

A: The base at the moment has only one body type (may add more if interest is there) , 4 hand claw variants, 8 horn variants, 2 mouth variants, 8 ready made fur patterns and all of the sections of the body on their own seperate layers
